Sunday 2 April 2023, 10.00 - 16.00, at Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Art Gallery, Titirangi

Nature Printing is an ancient art form that takes objects in nature, such as leaves and stems, and through several stages, transfers the beauty of those objects into art. In this workshop participants will learn about and be guided on how to carefully gather plant materials from the bush and use them to make impressions onto paper using the Gelli Plate method.

This workshop guides participants through the bush to learn about the local forest environment, how to safely gather plant materials and use them in art-making activities. The focus is to appreciate and better understand the form and expression of plants in the natural location and how restoration practices contribute to their continued ability to enrich our lives
